Tani has worked in immigration law since 2001. She joined the Business and Skilled Migration Practice Group of Australian Business Lawyers – a leading Australian employment law firm - in 2004 before joining Phillip Yip & Associates in 2006.

Since 2002, she has been providing advice on all aspects of business and skilled migration, including preparing Visa, Sponsorship and Citizenship applications and preparing submissions for Appeals to the then Migration Review Tribunal and with Counsel, to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Tani was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2001.
